Donated Dental Services
Donated Dental Services is a Dental Lifeline Network program that matches eligible patients, who cannot afford care, with volunteer dentists who treat them in their own offices.
Donated Dental Services (DDS) is a program of Dental Lifeline Network. The group says a coordinator reviews and screens each applicant. The program then matches qualified patients with a volunteer dentist.
DLN's volunteer page says the volunteer dentist sees the patient in their own office. Volunteer dental laboratories also donate the lab work for the patient. Patients must apply and be screened, so not everyone who asks will qualify. Dentists who want to take part should read the current volunteer terms on the DLN site. Some practices include this kind of work in their community service plans.
