Missouri Dental Board

The Missouri Dental Board is the state board that licenses and regulates dentists and dental hygienists, and that writes rules for dental assistants.

Missouri law says the Missouri Dental Board consists of seven members: five licensed dentists, one licensed dental hygienist and one public member. The board adopts and enforces rules for the practice of dental hygienists, dental assistants, certified dental assistants and expanded functions dental assistants.

The board sits within the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. It uses CE Broker to track continuing education.

For current licensing, renewal and advertising rules, read the board's own site and the Missouri statutes. They are the final word on what is required. Rules change, so check often.
