# Office manager

The team member who runs the daily administrative work of a practice, such as scheduling, billing support and front office tasks.

An office manager runs the daily administrative work of a dental office. Duties vary by practice. They often include front desk oversight, schedules, supplies, insurance and billing tasks, and support for the owner.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics describes medical and health services managers as people who plan, direct and coordinate the business activities of healthcare providers. A dental office manager does related work at the scale of one office, though job titles and tasks differ.

Titles overlap.
