# PPO participation

PPO participation is the decision whether a practice joins an insurance plan's network and accepts its fee schedule, or stays outside it.

A dentist decides whether to sign a PPO agreement. The American Dental Association says dentists are forced to make important decisions when it comes to signing or not signing PPO agreements. Its contract resources list issues such as payment policies and how a dentist can end a network agreement.
