ADA 10 Under 10 Award
An ADA award that recognizes ten dentists who graduated less than ten years ago and show excellence and inspire others.
The ADA 10 Under 10 Award honors new dentists. The ADA says the New Dentist Committee developed it in 2017 to celebrate new dentists who demonstrate excellence and inspire others. Areas named in the criteria include science, research and education, practice excellence, philanthropy, leadership and advocacy.
Each year ten dentists are chosen. Nominees must have graduated from a U.S. accredited dental school within the stated window, and active ADA members or dental associations may submit nominations. Recipients are honored with a plaque and featured at an ADA event.
The New Dentist Committee runs the award. It is part of organized dentistry. This entry is a general definition of the program.
