Organized dentistry

New dentist committee

An ADA committee, with 17 members from the ADA districts, that serves new dentists and dental students and that developed the ADA 10 Under 10 Award.

The New Dentist Committee, or NDC, is an ADA committee for new dentists. The ADA says it has 17 members, one from each ADA district. It advocates for new dentists by conveying their needs to ADA leadership, recognizes peer contributions through the 10 Under 10 Award, and connects with students through the ADA Success Program and other events.

The ADA also says the committee works to increase new dentist leadership roles and to build a supportive community within organized dentistry. State and local societies run their own new dentist groups.

The committee developed the ADA 10 Under 10 Award. It is part of organized dentistry. This entry is a general definition.
