American College of Dentists
The American College of Dentists is an honor society for dentists, with fellowship by invitation only, that focuses on leadership and ethics in dentistry.
The American College of Dentists (ACD) is a dental honor society. Its own site says fellowship in the College is by invitation only. The site also quotes a founding idea that the College's basic mission is leadership.
The College is separate from the American Dental Association. It is also separate from the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists.
Since membership is by invitation, a person cannot apply on their own. A reader who sees ACD letters in a bio should check the College's list of Fellows. Honor society membership says nothing about clinical results or fees.
