Brand ambassador

A brand ambassador is a person who represents a company's products in public, often in exchange for pay, free products or other benefits.

A brand ambassador speaks about a company's products in public, on social media or at events. The company may pay the person or give products or other benefits.

The Federal Trade Commission has plain advice for these cases: disclose when you have any financial, employment, personal, or family relationship with a brand. The disclosure should be clear and easy to see.

In dentistry, state advertising rules and the code of ethics also apply. A listener cannot judge advice properly without knowing if the speaker has a tie to the product. Related roles include a key opinion leader and a dental advisory board member.
