A dental conference is a multi-day meeting where dental professionals attend education sessions, hear speakers and earn continuing education credit.
A dental conference gathers dentists and team members in one place for several days. The American Dental Association holds a yearly Scientific Session, which it says was formerly known as SmileCon. The 2026 meeting was set for Oct. 8-10 in Indianapolis.
Other dental groups hold meetings too. Programs often include a keynote, breakout courses and exhibits. Attendees often use the courses for continuing education hours.
Planners who book a dental speaker should settle topic, length, room setup and CE paperwork early. Rules for approved credit depend on the state board and the approving body.
