Study club
A study club is a group of dental professionals who meet regularly to learn together, review cases, and share what they know with each other.
A study club gives dentists a steady place to learn with peers. Spear Education describes a Spear Study Club as a local group of dental professionals who meet regularly to collaborate on real-world cases, follow a faculty-designed curriculum, and grow together.
Clubs differ in format. Some follow a set curriculum, such as a Spear Study Club. Others are local groups that invite guest lecturers. Many offer continuing education hours when the club or its speaker is approved by a body such as PACE.
A speaker for a club should ask about the group's size, case-based format and CE rules before the meeting.
