Credentials and education
Academy of General Dentistry
The Academy of General Dentistry is a professional association for general dentists that supports continuing education and recognizes members through its Fellowship, Mastership and other awards.
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is a professional association for general dentists. The AGD says it honors members who have reached the highest levels of continuing education and professional distinction through its Fellowship, Mastership and Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition awards.
The group also runs PACE, a program that approves continuing education providers. Members track their hours with the AGD, and those hours count toward AGD awards.
The Fellowship (AGD) and Mastership (AGD) awards are based on education hours and other set requirements. They are awards based on education, not specialty titles. Read the AGD site for current rules, because the AGD updates award requirements from time to time.
