AGD
AGD is the short form of Academy of General Dentistry, the association for general dentists that runs the PACE program and the Fellowship and Mastership awards.
AGD stands for the Academy of General Dentistry. You will see the short form on course flyers, award lists and member bios.
The AGD says it honors members who reach high levels of continuing education through its Fellowship, Mastership, and Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition awards. Its PACE program approves organizations that offer continuing education.
Do not confuse AGD with ADA. The ADA is the American Dental Association, a different group. Letters after a name, such as FAGD or MAGD, refer to AGD awards. If you read a bio that uses these letters, check them against the AGD's own award pages.
