Practice management

Team meeting

A team meeting is a regularly scheduled session where the whole practice team reviews results, solves problems, trains and plans, usually longer and less frequent than a daily huddle.

The ADA's practice management guidance says team meetings should be held on a regular basis, on an established day and time. It also says that team meetings serve several important purposes. A team meeting is longer than a daily huddle and covers topics that do not fit in a few minutes: results from key performance indicators, policy changes, training and ideas from the team. Meetings that run without a plan can waste time, while meetings with a clear purpose help the team stay aligned.
